Travel Sales Representative

Our TCM client is looking for a Sales Representative to achieve yearly sales and client margin targets by actively sourcing new accounts, and improve market share, by actively following up on leads, prospects and by seeking all upsell potentials with existing and new clients.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

·                   Respond and attend to RFPs, RFIs and rebids of local clients as they are required and ensure that all client contracts meet required profitability.

Assist the VP of Sales and General Manager to liaise closely and respond to Regional Sales teams for RFPs, rebids of regional clients.

·        Responsible for updating of data in CRM and to submit weekly reports to the VP of Sales with the following coverage:

- New Accounts Secured

- Progress on all leads / hot prospects

- Accounts Lost

- Suggestion / Recommendation, etc

·                    Coordinates market research to identify potential local leads

·                    Building the sales pipeline

·                    Cold Calls

·                    Identify business trends to capitalize on growth potential across industries

·                    Manage progress and development of prospects, as well as quotations

·                    Assist in RFP submission

·                    Work closely with Implementation Specialist to ensure client accounts are setup

·                    Preparing brochures and presentations as requested by sales manager

·                    Assist in managing and planning client site visits

·                    Provide account management support to selected accounts.


 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a travel industry
  • Travel industry experience – highly desirable
  • Understanding of financial structure and return on investment concepts


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (REQUIRED SKILLS)

-          Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-            Efficient organizational skills

-            Proficient negotiating skills

-            Evident interpersonal skills

-            Proficiency in Microsoft office products including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Project Manager

-            Ability to manage multifaceted obstacles including but not limited to stressful situations, competing priorities, conflicts of interest, etc.
