Assist in the preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements and reporting to both external and internal parties under IFRS.
Aid in the preparation of annual and quarterly reports on a global basis.
Prepare individual company annual statutory financial statements and reporting under local GAAP (e.g., UK or Swiss).
Develop, implement, upgrade, and maintain internal financial systems, controls, and safeguards. Provide training to functional departments on internal control activities to ensure a strong internal control environment.
Assist in managing external audits.
Handle all technical accounting matters. Research, analyze, and communicate such matters under IFRS. Collaborate with local accounting managers in international and regional offices to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant reporting.
Evaluate specific business transactions for proper accounting treatment.
Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with IFRS. Ensure compliance on a global basis.
Coordinate with the VP of Tax on tax/accounting compliance matters. Work closely with the internal Legal Department and other functional areas.
Manage special projects and other administrative functions as required.
Develop and maintain a database to track external reporting to banks and counterparties.
Requirements:
4-6 years of financial reporting and/or public accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of IFRS.
Excellent technical research skills and the ability to summarize and communicate research results effectively in written form.
