$180,000 - $195,000


This leadership role reports directly to executive management and involves critical responsibilities including safeguarding financial data integrity, collaborating across diverse business units, supervising financial functions, managing audits, enforcing policies and procedures, and ensuring timely financial closures.


Leadership Skills and Requirements:

  • Demonstrated leadership prowess in navigating organizational structures, fostering collaboration among teams, and assembling high-caliber, achievement-oriented teams.
  • Proficient in data analysis, capable of distilling complex information into actionable insights to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Attuned to working within a confidential, family-oriented corporate environment.
  • Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in accounting.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • Prior Controllership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment with multi-plant operations.
  • 15+ years of progressive, related experience.
  • Excellent computer and communication skills.


Responsibilities:

  1. Safeguarding the confidentiality and integrity of financial data in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
  2. Collaborating with key stakeholders across diverse business units, with a strategic focus on select channels and departments.
  3. Supervising sensitive financial functions such as payroll, accounting, and financial transactions.
  4. Overseeing the annual financial audit process and contributing to the production of essential financial documents.
  5. Strengthening and enforcing confidential policies and procedures to address accounting challenges and maintain robust internal controls.
  6. Ensuring timely and precise monthly financial closures and actively participating in budget planning alongside the Financial Planning & Analysis team.

  • Build a team as needed and be very hands-on with day-to-day operations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present ideas effectively.
  • 5 direct reports and 5 indirect reports.
  • Reports to the CFO (one of 4).
  • Strong systems and Excel proficiency.
  • Preference for someone who has gone through an ERP implementation.
  • Manufacturing experience highly preferred.
  • Must understand Cost Accounting.
