Job Summary:


A Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering electrical projects from initiation to completion. Key Responsibilities: 

  • Project Planning and Initiation: Collaborate with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project execution. This includes coordinating tasks, setting milestones, and ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Manage, create and maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, contracts, drawings, blueprints, specifications, reports, and technical drawings. Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to management and clients. Ensure all documents are current and accessible to relevant team members.
  • Cost Estimation and Budget Management: Assist in estimating project costs, preparing budgets, and monitoring expenses to ensure adherence to financial constraints.
  • Procurement and Supply Chain Coordination: Help procure materials and equipment necessary for the project. This involves negotiating with suppliers, managing orders, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies.
  • Quality Assurance and Control: Ensure all work meets required standards and compliances. Coordinate inspections and quality control checks, test electrical systems, and address any arising issues.
  • Safety Management: Promote and enforce safety standards on the project site. Conduct safety audits, provide safety training to staff, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members. This involves attending meetings, preparing reports, and ensuring all parties are informed of project progress.
  • Problem Solving: Assist in resolving any issues that arise during the project. This includes troubleshooting technical problems, resolving conflicts between team members, and making decisions to maintain project momentum.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize electrical engineering knowledge to design, review, and ensure the proper installation of electrical systems, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance on electrical systems and installations. Collaborate closely with electricians and engineers to efficiently address technical challenges.
  • Training and Development: Actively participate in training sessions and seek professional development opportunities to remain updated with the latest electrical standards, technologies, and project management methodologies.
  • Client Interaction: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns while providing excellent customer service.
  • Team Management: Build and lead project teams, including electricians, technicians, and subcontractors. Assign tasks, set clear expectations, and monitor team performance to ensure project objectives are met. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate and allocate necessary resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to meet project requirements. Manage procurement and vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Project Execution and Monitoring: Supervise all aspects of project execution, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Monitor project progress, budget, and timelines, and take proactive measures to address any issues or deviations. Regularly communicate project status to clients and stakeholders.
  • Change Management: Handle project changes and scope adjustments efficiently, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and costs. Document and communicate changes to relevant parties.
  • Project Closure: Conduct project reviews to evaluate performance against project objectives and client expectations. Ensure all project deliverables are completed, and necessary documentation is provided to clients. Prepare and submit final project reports and invoices.
  • Other: Other duties as assigned.


 Qualifications: 

  • 5+ proven years of experience as a Project Manager in the electrical industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Acubid, and Bluebeam)
  • PMP or relevant project management certification (desired).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
