Senior Business Development Manager

Location: Orlando, FL


About the Role:

We are excited to announce an opportunity on behalf of our esteemed client in the simulation sector. The position of Senior Business Development Manager is based in Orlando, FL and requires significant travel, up to 50%.


In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will lead business development and strategic capture activities across a diverse portfolio targeting the Department of Defense (DoD), Federal, Aerospace and commercial markets. This position involves steering the growth of existing pipeline and spearheading the development of future business strategies to meet the evolving needs of a broad customer base.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and support of new business proposals.
  • Establish and sustain partnerships and teaming relationships.
  • Engage actively with the customer community, potential new business contacts, and both internal and external stakeholders, including leading preliminary technical discussions.
  • Translate customer needs into tailored solutions, driving the capture process to effectively market the capabilities of the division.
  • Assist in both the strategic and execution phases of capture and proposal management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Established background in business development and capture management within the simulation sector and with DoD engagements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, project management, or engineering.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Skilled in conducting independent initial technical and conceptual discussions.
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in simulation domain.
  • Insight into DoD and DHS budgeting and marketplace dynamics.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Government procurement policies and regulations.
  • Experience in program management, with skills in hardware and/or software engineering.
  • Experience working for smaller technology companies, where flexibility and teamwork are paramount!
