CAD Drafter (Hybrid) – Tampa, FL

Position Overview:

Engenium is supporting our client’s growth and is seeking a CAD Drafter. The role involves drawing components and assemblies using AutoCAD software. You will work closely with the Engineering team to produce accurate drawings, diagrams and part lists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Engineering to create AutoCAD system prints, cable drawings, and top-level electrical assemblies/installations.

• Support manufacturing by resolving design and documentation issues during production phases.

• Document changes to electrical drawings by creating engineering change documents.

• Assist Engineering in developing presentation materials for customer meetings, including requirement reviews, design reviews, and acceptance testing.

• Support customer events such as configuration audits.

• Mentor other CAD drafters to develop comprehensive and cohesive designs.

Qualifications:

• Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD software, knowledge of electrical CAD modeling/drawing production software, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Visio).

• Education: Associate Degree in Engineering Technology supplemented by advanced coursework in engineering drafting, or equivalent experience related to aircraft or flight simulation.

• Other: US citizenship, ability to pass a background check, obtain a DoD security clearance, and travel to US and overseas locations to support on-site integration, testing, and acceptance. Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing.
