Vice President of Transportation and Logistics

Base Salary $220-$250k

SUMMARY:

We are seeking an operational transportation expert with strong knowledge of brokerage, digital brokerage, truckload asset light/digital logistics, etc. who can build and integrate a network of inbound and outbound activity for a global corporation. The successful candidate will have experience building full-fledged truckload brokerage operations spanning the entire US. Experience building out brokerage operations should also include the experience of making technology selections for transportation networks.

Accountable for driving exceptional performance across LTL/Multi-Vendor Consolidation and Truckload business activity as well as driving best-in-class technology solutions to support advanced network lane matching, fully automated execution, and other industry-leading initiatives. Work with internal resources (data scientists, IT, carrier management, sales, operations, etc.) to proactively identify customer opportunities, pursue, as well as provide direction to operations teams to facilitate successful launch of new business secured. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Successful track record of growing brokerage operations
• 10-15 plus years experience in Transportation/Logistics
• Strong analytics skillset
• Knowledge of technology alternatives
• Familiarity with carrier economics and ability to work effectively across diverse organizations to gain consensus on securing new business opportunities
• Solid understanding of transportation operations and ability to facilitate strategic alignment across multiple stakeholders
• Extensive experience analyzing customer networks and developing cost/process opportunities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills required
