$135-$150K BASE, ANNUAL BONUS, RELOCATION ASSISTANCE

SUMMARY:

This position will report to the Vice President of Engineering and will work closely with the Plant Manager and other members of the operations and engineering teams to design, implement and review continuous improvement efforts both at individual plants and companywide. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: research, design, layout, process development and implementation and process improvement projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

▪Initiates research, design and the development of safe manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment

▪Leads cross-functional teams to identify and implement most effective and efficient logistics process improvements

▪Conducts cross-functional meetings in support of initiatives to develop key measures of success and monitor performance against these measures

▪Performs cost-benefit analysis to evaluate the financial feasibility of potential process improvements

▪Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of the facilities property, buildings and equipment

▪Designs, develops and tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for the safe manufacturing of products

▪Performs continuous improvement activities using lean tools for cost reduction, quality improvement, improved efficiency, and improved material flow

▪Prepares capital projects for new equipment and processes

▪Assists Quality Engineering with developing robust quality control plans

▪Performs work measurement analysis using time studies or predetermined motion time systems to develop optimal process

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

▪Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field required.

▪5-7 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

▪Strong communication and organizational skills

▪Experience building engineered labor standards

▪Performs successfully in a high change environment; Able to quickly and effectively transition between tasks.

▪Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment

▪Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and CAD.
