SUMMARY:

Director of Drayage will be in charge of all aspects of the East Coast Drayage operations. We are seeking someone who is passionate about drayage and is looking for massive upward potential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the Drayage and Logistics staff
• Ensure load planning, driver scheduling, and dispatch duties using both employee drivers and Owner Operators are handled correctly and according to plan.
• Manages P&L and works with Finance to develop a standardized process for managing and reporting the finances for the drayage business.
• Create relationships with each drayage customer creating value across multiple levels of management at each customer location.
• Develop and manage daily and weekly performance/KPI data reports.
• Work with key sales parties internally to work through a sales pipeline for the drayage business.
• Establish and maintain good human resources practices with direct reports, including providing regular coaching and feedback on performance, prepare and present formal performance appraisals as required, ensure adherence to established corporate and department policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 10+ years' hands-on experience and understanding of drayage.
• Strong interpersonal skills - Ability to communicate with all levels of customers, vendors, management and internal resources.
• Strong ability to manage conflict resolution without escalating the problem.
• Ability to manage employees, deal with personnel issues, provide candid feedback and take disciplinary measures if appropriate.

COMPENSATION:

• Base Salary $180-$200k
• Plus Bonus
