Centennial is on the hunt for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a cutting-edge, privately-owned manufacturing company based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our client is a pivotal force in the Aerospace and Defense sector, renowned for their expertise in overcoming intricate fabrication, machining, and assembly challenges. They deliver robust, mission-critical manufacturing solutions that support some of the most demanding and essential programs in the nation.

What You’ll Do:


  • Drive Cost Efficiency: Spearhead initiatives to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency across all manufacturing processes.
  • Enhance Manufacturing Excellence: Innovate and optimize manufacturing processes and quality for both current and future projects, ensuring the highest standards are met.
  • Support Production Teams: Provide detailed documentation and essential information to the manufacturing and production control departments, facilitating the effective fulfillment of customer contract requirements.
  • Improve Workforce Stability: Accurately estimate labor requirements and manage information related to cash-flow needs to stabilize and support the workforce.
  • Lead RFQ Responses: Review and respond to requests for quotes, enhancing overall quality, productivity, and comprehension of customer requirements.
  • Optimize Tool Routing: Create efficient routers for tools and cost-effective pathways through the shop, identifying opportunities to expedite product delivery.
  • Master Manufacturing Processes: Apply your deep knowledge of machining, fabrication, assembly, NDT, heat treatment, and coatings to drive process improvements.
  • Expertly Interpret Blueprints: Utilize your proficiency in GD&T and blueprint reading to ensure precise and accurate production.
  • Champion Government Contracts: Leverage your experience in Government Contract Manufacturing to navigate complex project requirements.
  • Advance Welding Techniques: Apply your knowledge of Navsea welding and requirements to break down large weldments into individual components, creating detailed weld build-up drawings and claim sheets for each weld joint.


What We’re Looking For:


  • US Citizenship: Required due to the sensitive nature of the work in Aerospace and Defense.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering is essential.
  • Extensive Experience: At least five years of experience in large turning, multi-axis milling, fabrication, assembly operations, and machine tool applications.
  • Problem-Solving Prodigy: Exceptional skills in problem-solving and troubleshooting, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Communication Expert: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.
