Our client is looking for a Sr. Director, Enterprise Program Management (EPMO). You have 15+ years of relevant experience in project and portfolio management and have demonstrated results delivering business value in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models. A plus if this experience includes business and/or agile transformation.

What You’ll Do:


In short - You will lead the Enterprise PMO function of the company. As its leader, you will work with stakeholders to align strategy to execution through continuous business planning and strategic programs/ key initiatives and will be responsible for effective program & project delivery through the EPMO. You’ll also be a thought leader in maturing how the company adopts Agile principles, particularly as they apply to modernizing our business planning process into a more iterative, continuous process. 



Here are a few other details:


  • This role is both a people management position that requires the ability to lead through people, and a senior individual contributor that expects to be hands on in the execution of portfolio management operations
  • Lead the introduction of Agile principles to portfolio management, business planning, program execution, and functional areas beyond Product and Technology
  • Partner with Technology & Product Management functions
  • Responsible for Program/Project delivery and continuous improvement of Enterprise PMO templates and tools
  • This role will manage a team of 3 direct reports and a total of 7 team members currently



Travel:

  • Presence in the Ewing, NJ office will be required for 4-8 days a month, which may necessitate travel if the candidate is not based locally




What You’ll Need:


  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s highly preferred 
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in project / Program portfolio management
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in business application software delivery lifecycle / SaaS
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional project teams in the delivery of enterprise solutions
  • People management of project management staff
  • PMP certification required, PfMP certification a plus
  • SAFe Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) certification preferred
  • Lean or Lean Six Sigma certification a plus
  • Demonstrated results delivering business value in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models
  • Agile transformation experience preferred
  • Supply chain and B2B eCommerce experience a plus

  • Strong organization, planning, project, and portfolio management skills 
  • Skilled in change management associated with business process / agile transformations
  • Knowledge of solution/product lifecycles and methodologies including new program and product launches as well as iterative release schedules 
  • Must be a strong team player that is able to work across the organization to prioritize initiatives, build consensus, and lead teams to deliver value in pursuit of enterprise business objectives
  • Ability to balance the need for project controls and rigor with the need to be flexible in tailoring approaches to specific project challenges and expectations of Business Leaders
  • Comfortable managing multiple, concurrent, strategic initiatives
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and delivers on commitments with minimal direct supervision
  • Extremely thorough and detail oriented
  • Ability to manage relationships through influence and diplomacy 
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and listening communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Project
