What Our Client Needs:

 

Our client is looking for a Government Development Manager. As the Government Development Manager, you are responsible and accountable for planning, facilitating, tracking, and communicating the Market Development Team OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures) deliverables as they relate to the government business plan. You will:

 

  • Support our client's government team in executing strategies and plans to increase education and adoption of Standards within government
  • Collaborate with internal teams and members, MOs, NGOs and government agency staff to identify areas/trends, gaps, and opportunities to leverage Standards 
  • Support existing or new government projects and programs
  • Develop, track and measure government project plans/timelines for defined strategies and tactics
  • Support outreach/education on Standards to government agencies and other key stakeholders
  • Coordinate presentations on government initiatives and work to internal and external stakeholders
  • Research and scan the government landscape for related future opportunities
  • Manage/support various marketing and communication efforts  


 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Manages cross-functional team to discuss, review and act upon identified government activities, which could include providing comments to federal agencies, determine what workgroups and events our client should engage in.
  • Support key government programs and initiatives working with internal and external stakeholders as well as our client's other offices around the world
  • Collaborate with internal teams and members on identified activities
  • Assist with marketing and communications efforts including website, articles, and social media
  • Collaborate on projects/tasks developed in partnership with consultants, GO and MOs.
  • Support and/or manage the government response process including Federal Register Notices (FRN) and other communications with government officials
  • Supports individual team members to create and track project schedules and critical paths.
  • Manage project management tools (ex.- airtable) for important information tracking and dashboard development
  • Work on educational outreach campaigns targeted to specific internal and external stakeholders. Examples of outreach topics could include: GLN/Global Registry, Suite of Standards, OMB Circular A-119, etc.

 

This position requires up to 33% travel.


 

What You’ll Need:


  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year College or university.
  • At least 5 years of Professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Supply Chain knowledge.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Project Management / Business Process development or federal government experience.
  • Experience in working with government regulatory agencies such as FDA, USDA, CBP, other.
  • Proficiency in Project Management Tools & Software
  • Command of Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Effective Presentation / Collaboration skills to extract information and articulate that into a plan
