Title: Business Development Recruiter

Overview:

Our Client, a leading payments company, is searching for a Business Development Recruiter to join their team.


The focus of the Business Development Recruiter is to recruit and develop new Independent Sales Organizations (ISO), Agents, and/or ISVs primarily through self-sourcing activities which would allow for the expansion of the outside sales ISO, Agent, ISV, and strategic relationship program.


Responsible for growing a network of prospects to acquire new sales partners and to develop strong relationships with clients to maximize revenue.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and develop new Sales Partners (Agents/ISO’s/ISV’s/Strategic Partners) primarily via self-generated leads by utilizing cold calling, professional networking, and personal connections and resources within the candidate’s network.
  • Respond to sales partner inquiries generated by company advertising campaigns, media events, and attendance at industry conferences.
  • Sign, activate and grow sales partners in their first 3-6 months. Grow revenue within existing accounts using value selling methods.
  • Understand products and services of the company and provide value-based sales skills to secure additional revenue.
  • Conduct effective negotiations pertaining to schedule A, new partner contract etc.
  • Research organizations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential.
  • Contact potential customers via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings.
  • Some travel - Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Contact customers to inform them about new developments in the company’s products and service offerings.
  • Develop quotes and proposals.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all prospective customers.
  • Reports to the Director of Sales

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of proven direct merchant services sales experience and/or merchant services sales partner recruitment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel software programs are required.
  • Salesforce/CRM experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience successfully managing a revenue quota.
  • Solid understanding of merchant services industry
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be an effective communicator and enjoy working directly with people.
  • Track record of growing revenue
