Title: Senior Director of Outside Sales

Location: Tampa, FL onsite with travel


Overview:


Our Client, a leading Restaurant POS/Payments company, is searching for a Senior Director of Outside Sales to join their sales leadership team. The Senior Director of Outside Sales will start out as a “Player-Coach” role. You will be responsible for leading and expanding their restaurant client base in selected markets across the US. This role requires a dynamic and strategic sales leader with a proven track record in building and managing high-performing sales teams. You are the right fit for this role if you have built and scaled outside sales teams and have sold technology and or services in the SMB space.


Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive outside sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market growth.
  • Identify and prioritize go to market strategies.
  • Setting sales goals, KPIs, and performance metrics for the sales team.
  • Team Leadership and Management:
  • You are a “ Player Coach” until you build your teams out.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of outside sales representatives in various local markets.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to ensure the team meets or exceeds sales objectives.
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Market Expansion and Customer Acquisition:
  • Expanding in local markets throughout the US. (Heavy travel is required.)
  • Identify new business opportunities and establish strong relationships with potential restaurant clients.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and prospects.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends and opportunities.
  • Sales Process Optimization:
  • Streamline and optimize the sales process to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Implement sales tools, CRM systems, and best practices to enhance the team's productivity.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including presenting sales reports and insights to senior leadership.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with key restaurant partners to set up their “Referral Selling System” in various markets.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in outside sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the technology, services or POS industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and support the sales team.
