Team Lead, Service Desk

Our client has asked us to find a Team Lead, Service Desk for a permanent position. Our client is in the transportation industry. We love this company because of the variety of work that their employees get to experience.


Here is what you'll be doing on a day to day basis:


  • Lead the IT Service Desk team, fostering a culture of customer service, with mentoring staff to improve performance, increase customer satisfaction, and drive efficiencies.
  • Acting as the initial point of escalation for unresolved calls, technical issues, and complex requests, providing effective resolutions and support.
  • Proactively monitoring and managing the Help Desk ticket system queue, ensuring timely resolution of issues and efficient ticket handling.
  • Providing expert first- and second-level support for computer hardware and software issues.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive hardware and software inventory to facilitate efficient asset management.
  • Support application packaging, deployments, and documentation.
  • Create, track and report on KPIs and SLAs.


Here is the type of person we are looking for:


  • At least four years of experience in a support capacity
  • At least 1 year of Team Lead experience
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in a technical field. MCSE, MCP, A+, ITIL v4 certificate, Security+ or Network+ certification an asset.
  • Must have excellent technical knowledge of computer systems, software applications, and hardware peripherals. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to balance priorities
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with an ability to interact in a professional and friendly manner with end users at all levels within the organization
  • Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills coupled with a willingness to learn
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Must understand the art of always providing customer service.


Salary range: $90-110k
