Are you a Senior Software Developer? We are looking for an experienced and seasoned C# Developer with outstanding coding skills and a dedicated work ethic. This opportunity will work remotely but they are looking for someone based in BC, ideally in the Greater Vancouver area as the team meets in person occasionally for meetings and team-building exercises. We love this company because they are serious about the work but love to have fun and have a tight-knit team. Our client is seeking a talented software developer with at least 5+ years of experience coding in .Net C# and some experience working with React and/or TypeScript, and C++. You are also very experienced working with relational databases, especially Microsoft T-SQL. You write clean code, can work in a fast-paced environment, and can be flexible to adapt to changing requirements. You can also collaborate and communicate well with others and like stepping up to help.
Here is what you will do on a daily basis:
- Work collaboratively on an agile team to deliver high-quality code
- Participate in daily scrum meetings at 8 am PT and other related meetings as needed
- Use the company’s Jira system to track tasks and projects.
- Use the company’s Git (Bitbucket) repository for managing code
- Establish and follow best practices for coding by building reusable components, conducting code reviews, and ensuring high-quality, test-driven code
- Assist the company in architecting, implementing, and testing new features
- Assist the company in improving and maintaining existing products for usability, efficiency, and backward compatibility.
- Assist with debugging and fixing software defects
Here is the type of person we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with .Net C# web applications and MS T-SQL
- Experience with .Net Core (any version)
- Experience working with JSON and RESTful APIs
- At least some experience with C++
- Experience working in an agile / scrum environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues using debugging tools and/or viewing log files
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies
- Confident and capable with a successful track record of working in a fast-paced technical environment
- Some experience with React or Typescript
- Some experience with PHP, Node.Js or other back-end code
- Some experience with technical writing and maintaining API documentation.
Salary range: $100-110k
