Computer Technologies Consultants (CTC) is seeking a Network Engineer to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in San Antonio, TX. This is a full time onsite position!

Position Title: Network Engineer

Position Location: Full Time onsite in San Antonio, TX


Daily Responsibilities:                                 

  • Design, test, upgrade and integrate new or existing information networks such as LAN, WLAN, WAN, VoIP, intranets, extranets, and other communications networks in accordance to the organization’s business requirements.
  • Document all aspects of the engineering process as it relates to build and configuration, testing, and deployment of networks.
  • Coordinate changes such as implementation of new networks, upgrades or version increments to existing networks with network administrators and stakeholders.
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements security measures to safeguard new and existing networks. Performs network modeling, analysis, and planning.
  • Coordinates with architecture, evaluates new and emerging network technologies, and makes recommendations for selection of these products.
  • Assists network administrators with complex troubleshooting issues and if needed coordinates vendor engagements to assist in troubleshooting efforts.
  • May provide day-to-day operational or administrative duties for deployed networks in lab or production environments.
  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
  • Ability to work with other senior technical and user staff to complete projects.
  • Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
  • Level III performs more independent thinking and difficult tasks compared to Level II, and may supervise others.


Required Years of Experience (min):       

  • 6+ years of experience.


Required Degree:           

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency.
  • IAT II: IAW Section 3.0 Commercial Certificates for DoD 8570.01-M certificate requirement, CE: Professional level certificate for supported technology as approved by the COR.


Required Experience:                                  

  • Lead design, deployment, and integration of complex network systems, including LAN, WLAN, WAN, intranets, and extranets.
  • Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security for organizational goals.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting and resolution of advanced network issues, minimizing downtime and optimizing network performance.
  • Develop and implement strategic network plans and architecture, aligning with business objectives and future growth. 


Required Clearance:

  • Tier 3 (T3)/Public Trust (min.)
