Position Title: Information Assurance/Security Specialist - Level III
Position Location: Full Time onsite in San Antonio, TX
Daily Responsibilities:
- Specialized in the analysis or application of system security practices within an organization/agency.
- Assists the system owner and ISSO in varies aspects in designing, developing and writing C7A documentation packages included in the process of helping an organization/agency obtain an ATO on its systems and/or environment.
- Follows NIST and/or DoD IA C&A Process standards in performance of job functions.
- Level III performs more independent thinking and difficult tasks compared to Level II, and may supervise others.
Required Years of Experience (min):
- 6+ years of experience progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency
Required Degree:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency
- IAT III and IAM III: IAW Section 3.0 Commercial Certificates for DoD 8570.01-M certificate requirement, CE: Professional level certificate for supported technology as approved by the COR.
Required Experience:
- Preferred Specialized in analyzing and applying system security practices within diverse organizations and agencies, ensuring robust protection and compliance.
- Preferred Assists system owners and ISSOs in designing, developing, and writing Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation packages, facilitating the process of obtaining an Authorization to Operate (ATO) for systems and environments.
- Preferred Follows National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance (IA) Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process standards, ensuring consistent and compliant security practices.
- Preferred Performs independent thinking and handles more complex tasks compared to Level II, with the potential to supervise others and provide guidance on security practices.
Required Clearance:
- Tier 3 (T3)/Secret
- IAT III and IAM III: IAW Section 3.0 Commercial Certificates for DoD 8570.01-M certificate requirement, CE: Professional level certificate for supported technology as approved by the COR.
