Position Title: Senior Implementation Science Consultant

Position Location: Silver Spring, Maryland


Daily Responsibilities:                                 

  • Maintain, enhance, and execute plans to develop an IS Enterprise Capability and develop and execute an Implementation Plan that promotes adoption of the knowledge solution along with behavioral and clinical changes associated with the knowledge solution application in clinical and operational settings.
  • Create/Maintain/Update IS Enterprise Capability supporting items such as, but not limited to documents, ISB Resource Library, and talking points as approved by the Government.
  • Support the development, modification, updating, and coordination of all necessary reporting documents and slides including, but not limited to Quarterly Review and Analysis, strategy meetings, and congressional requests.
  • Develop and submit Annual Report of Implementation Science effort.
  • Develop, modify, update and coordinate Formative Research results including, peer-reviewed publications, presentations, evidence-based synthesis reviews. 
  • Develop and maintain an Implementation Science Adoption Plan based on Formative Research to influence changes in knowledge, policy, and environment; system and behavior; and population health.
  • Conduct implementation readiness assessment, including initial meetings to determine scope, questionnaire to help establish consultation approach, and way forward for type of support and level of engagement.
  • Coordinate with other teams to support agency to adopt and execute the flexible implementation science consultation SOP and approach.
  • Draft/update an Assessment Plan and execute approved tactics to support the ongoing assessment of the implementation science consultation SOP and consultation projects.
  • Provide support to studies and analysis for the purpose of preparing special reports, studies, analyses, communications, and briefing papers on various topics related to overall agency activities and process management.


Required Years of Experience (min):       

  • Minimum 7 yrs. DHA or MHS senior level experience implementing and assessing clinical guidelines/protocols.


Required Degree/Certifications:              

  • Master’s Level Degree
  • Change Management Professional certification.


Required Experience:

  • Substantive experience in implementation science support services in the DoD arena.
  • Able to read, write, and speak English fluently to effectively communicate. Can enunciate with sufficient clarity to be readily understood.
  • Sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity such that they can relate constructively to a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills; able to work in a team environment and concurrently support several active projects.
  • Proficient with office equipment (e.g., computers, multi-line telephone system, voicemail, facsimile, copier, printers), as well as business software for word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, and email communications. This includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).


Required Clearance:

  • Security/Background Check.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
