Computer Technologies Consultants (CTC) is seeking an Information Assurance/Security Specialist - Level II to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in San Antonio, TX or Aurora, CO. This is a full time onsite position!

Position Title: Information Assurance/Security Specialist - Level II

Position Location: Full Time onsite in San Antonio, TX or Aurora, CO


Daily Responsibilities:                                 

  • Specialized in analysis or application of system security practices within an organization/agency.
  • Assists system owner and ISSO in varies aspects in developing and writing C&A documentation packages included in the process of helping an organization/agency obtain an ATO on its systems and/or environment.
  • Follows NIST and/or DoD IA C&A Process standards in performance of job functions.
  • Familiar with commonly used tools, concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.


Required Years of Experience (min):       

  • 4 years progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency


Required Degree:           

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency.
  • IAT III and IAM III: IAW Section 3.0 Commercial Certificates for DoD 8570.01-M certificate requirement, CE: Associate level (professional preferred) certificate for supported technology as approved by the COR.


Required Experience:                                  

  • Preferred Assisted system owners and ISSOs in creating comprehensive Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation to support the organization's efforts in obtaining an Authority to Operate (ATO) for its systems and environment.
  • Preferred Ensured compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (IA C&A) standards in all job functions, promoting robust system security practices.
  • Preferred Applied specialized knowledge in system security practices to analyze and enhance security measures within the organization, contributing to the protection of critical information assets.
  • Preferred Utilizes commonly used tools, concepts, practices, and procedures in the field of information security to effectively support and improve the organization's security posture.


Required Clearance:

  • Tier 3 (T3)/Public Trust (min.) Secret clearance preferred.
