Position Title: Sr. Salesforce Business Solution Architect

Position Location: This position is currently remote with occasional meeting in Arlington, VA.


Daily Responsibilities:                                 

  • Use expert knowledge of out-of-box Salesforce product suite, including Service, Community Cloud (Experience Cloud), App Cloud, so that requirements are translated with necessary details for the technical team to follow and implement.
  • Advises regarding customizing and implementing Users, Profiles Role Creation/Maintenance, Sharing Rules, Custom Objects, Custom & Formula Fields, Page Layouts and List Views, Workflows & Approvals, Validation Rules, Dashboards, Reports, Assignment/Auto Response/Escalation, and Process Builder.
  • Understand and assess how business processes can be improved using Salesforce; Ability to think strategically, implement, and deliver business objectives.
  • Leads and participates in business requirements gathering, designing solutions using Salesforce.com and integrating with internal and external systems.
  • Partners with business, technical and integration teams for solution definition, development, and implementation. Ensure that solution being developed will satisfy the business requirement.
  • Oversees user acceptance testing, and end-user training.
  • Develops user stories and to-be process flows to support the design and development of Salesforce solutions for our clients.
  • Create, update, and maintain the Solution Design documentation.
  • Monitor the Salesforce.com environment and identify areas of improvement.
  • Creates demo and training material for new and existing application users


Required Years of Experience (min):       

  • 6+ years of direct experience in software development life cycle.
  • 4-6 years’ experience in Salesforce configuration and implementing CRM systems


Required Degree:           

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or related IT discipline
  • Allowable Substitution: Additional ten (10) years of related professional experience can be substituted for a BS/BA degree


Preferred Certifications:

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant
  • Salesforce Certified Sharing and Visibility Designer
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect


Required Experience:                                  

  • Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of Salesforce CRM software solutions
  • Experience in enterprise-level Salesforce projects using both waterfall and agile software development methodologies throughout the whole life cycle with repeated and demonstrable success.
  • Expert level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Community, and Marketing Clouds, as well as the Force.com Platform.
  • Extensive experience with customizing and implementing Users, Profiles Role Creation/Maintenance, Sharing Rules, Custom Objects, Custom & Formula Fields, Page Layouts and List Views, Workflows & Approvals, Validation Rules, Dashboards, Reports, Assignment/Auto Response/Escalation, and Process Builder.
  • Experience defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed Salesforce system and functional designs.
  • Experience in documenting business processes and wireframing system designs using process flow diagram tools, UML, sequence diagrams, etc. as well as making recommendations for future state improved processes and system designs.
  • Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems, a basic understanding of programming logic and constructs, specifically in Salesforce, and their use in software development.
  • Experience with single-org deployments and multi-org consolidations.
  • Must be a team player with excellent oral and written communication, presenting, meeting facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sharing a non-branded sample Solution Design Document and presenting it to the interviewer will be a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.


Required Clearance:

  • Secret or Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
