We are in search of a Health Equity Specialist for a Community-Based Organization located in Chicago, IL (In The Loop). This is a Part-Time, In Person, Temporary (~2-3 mos.) assignment.


ORGANIZATION: Community-Based

LOCATION: Chicago, IL (in The Loop)

POSITION TITLE: Health Equity Specialist

SCHEDULE: Part Time (10 hrs./wk.); In-Person (Tuesdays and Thursday's); Hours are flexible

DURATION: Temporary (~2-3 mos.)

PAY RATE: $23-26/hr.


Is This Your Dream Position? As the Health Equity Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing assistance to the department lead on the existing grant requirements for social determinants of health. Also, you will assist in public-facing events such as parades, lectures and other events that arise and have a focus internally to ensure clinical and case management staff are measuring social determinants of health. 


Our Ideal Candidate:


  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, human services, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of social service agency structure preferred
  • Awareness of social determinants of health preferred


How You Will Spend Your Day: 


  • Assist with public-facing events, such as parades, roundtables, and other opportunities for visibility.
  • Assist with convenings to identify and advance shared health equity goals and develop solutions according to the health equity framework
  • Work in partnership with the Education team to ensure health equity framework strategies are being met from an education perspective
  • Assist with other administrative duties as assigned
