We are currently in search of a Director of Conference Relationships and Training for a Community Resource organizationThis is a Full/Part Time (32-40 hrs./wk.), Hybrid, Temporary-to-Permanent opportunity.

POSITION TITLE: Director of Conference Relationships and Training

SCHEDULE: Full/Part Time (32-40 hrs./wk.); Hybrid

DURATION: Temporary-to-Permanent

PAY RATE: Temp hourly rate will be $38-40/hour (If converted to a permanent employee, the salary range is $70-89K/yr. plus benefits)

 

Is This Your Dream Job: As the Director of Conference Relationships and Training, you'll be responsible for the support and development of the organization's Conference network in San Mateo County. 


Our Ideal Candidate:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in volunteer management in the nonprofit sector highly preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required


How You Will Spend Your Day:

 

Strategic


  • Build the active membership (in terms of numbers and activity) of Members.
  • Succession planning for the Conferences and Conference leadership.


Volunteer Development


  • Assist Conference leaders in attracting, developing, motivating, and retaining Conference volunteers
  • Communicates to all Conferences on best practices for the recruitment of new members
  • Assist in building linkages between Conferences and other relevant volunteer agencies
  • Ensures that “Invitation to Serve” is promoted at the parish level by working directly with Conferences (and indirectly with Parish Clergy and Pastoral Staff) to support Conferences to promote and attract new members
  • Assists with the initial orientation of new members into the Conference
  • Tracks and reports on the effectiveness of the implementation of Invitation to Serve and other new membership initiatives as they are developed
  • Implement and host Conference training programs and orientations
  • In conjunction with the SVdP Marketing and Development team, promote and publicize the value of Vincentian works and volunteering


Program Coordination


  • Design, construct, and implement policies, procedures, and practice standards that align with the Vincentian Rule and enable improved Conference performance.
  • Communicate and coordinate with District staff to develop Conference resources and support.
  • Identify and recommend actions with Conferences and other areas of the organization to:


o Address gaps and resolve difficulties in existing services.

o Evaluate opportunities for new or expanded services and programs.

o Support positive outcomes for the Vincentian volunteer network.


  • Analyze and report on outcomes, progress, trends, issues, and opportunities, as required.


Build and Maintains Effective Relationships


  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders, including Society members and diverse groups of people within the public and private sectors, and wider community by employing and encouraging effective communication strategies.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests for information from stakeholders in a responsive and professional manner.


Continuous Improvement


  • Undertake analysis of activities or programs to evaluate and improve their effectiveness
  • Track and report on volunteer growth


Administration


  • Prepare reports, letters, and briefings as required and ensure relevant records/files are maintained and updated.
  • Provide regular reports on Conference activity and Membership.
