We are currently searching for an Administrative Assistant for a Child Advocacy Nonprofit. The position is a Hybrid, On-going Temp position.

 

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Child Advocacy Nonprofit

LOCATION: Newark, NJ   

POSITION TITLE: Administrative Assistant

SCHEDULE: 35 hrs./ week  

DURATION: On-going Temp Assignment

HOURLY RATE: $21-$25 (DOE)

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tasks with minimal training.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in grammar and proofreading.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to learn new software.
  • Typing and data entry skills with a focus on speed and accuracy.
  • Experience in database management and office equipment use.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary environment.

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Assist the CEO and senior staff with special projects, including calendar management, communications, and HR support.
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Administrative Assistant and assist with special events.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as answering calls, filing, copying, and preparing correspondence.
  • Maintain and update donor and other organizational databases.
  • Support file maintenance and document management for the Director of Operations.
  • Help manage in-house accounting records and coordinate document delivery to the outsourced CFO.
  • Assist with tasks related to the 25th Anniversary campaign, staff vacancies, and accreditation applications.
  • Collaborate with the Development Team on special events and year-end appeals
