We are currently in search of a Partnership Eligibility Manager for a Philanthropy Organization. The position is Hybrid in Washington, DC. This is a full-time, temporary position.

 

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Philanthropy Organization

LOCATION: Washington DC (McPherson Square)

POSITION TITLE: Partnership Eligibility Manager

SCHEDULE: 35 hours/week (Hybrid – 3 days/week on site)

DURATION: Temporary, Ongoing

HOURLY RATE: $33.00 - $35.00

The Partnership Eligibility Manager will work with external organizations to determine if they meet the criteria outlined to receive specific benefits, services or assistance from this nonprofit philanthropy organization. They will be responsible for managing day to day work around the eligibility process and year-round partner stewardship work.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

·       Combined 5+ years of relevant experience in eligibility determination, program administration, case management and/or other related field is required

·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Ability to interact professionally and empathetically with applicants, colleagues and stakeholders of diverse backgrounds

·       Project Management, Eligibility or Case Management certifications a plus

·       Able to multi-task and manage shifting priorities

·       Proficient with MS Office Suite and database management

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

·       Review applications submitted by organizations seeking benefits or services

·       Manage ethe implementation and improvement of annual application vetting process, including nonprofit application trainings

·       Verify accuracy and completeness of information provided by applicants through documentation, interviews or investigations

·       Evaluate eligibility criteria and assess whether applicants meet the criteria set

·       Apply organizational and federal policies, procedures and legal guidelines to determine eligibility fairly and consistently

·       Assist applicants in understanding and responding to eligibility requirements

·       Document decisions and rational for eligibility determinations

·       Communicate decisions with applicants and stakeholders

·       Stay informed about changes to the eligibility criteria

·       Provide customer service to nonprofit partners throughout the year

·       Support nonprofit education and capacity building work to help enhance individual organizational capacity and effectiveness of partners and non-partners

·       Prepare periodic check requests for payments

·       Prepare applicant organization invoicing and track payments

·       Other duties as assigned
