We are currently in search of an Executive Assistant for a Jewish Community Center. The position is hybrid 3 days/week in the Washington, DC. This is a direct hire, full-time position in Washington, DC.

LOCATION: Hybrid - 3 days/week in Washington, DC

POSITION TITLE: Executive Assistant

SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week

DURATION: Direct Hire

HOURLY PAY: $55,000-$65,000/year

 

Is This Your Dream Job: We are seeking a talented and motivated professional to join our Institutional Advancement Team. This full-time position will work closely with the CEO and report to the Senior Director of Institutional Advancement. They will support the Board of Directors, the Executive Team, and act as a key member of the Institutional Advancement team.

Given that this person will correspond regularly with key stakeholders, donors, and members of the Board of Directors, this role requires the utmost professionalism and confidentiality.

 

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

·        3+ years of professional work experience, preferably in fundraising or administration at a non-profit. Knowledge of or interest in learning non-profit governance is a plus.

·        Experience using non-profit fundraising databases. Salesforce experience preferred, but not required. 

·        Experience with MS Office Suite and Google Workspace, preferred

·        Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.

·        Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills; must be detailed oriented, diligent with follow-up, and able to deliver results on multiple priorities simultaneously. 

·        Ability to work with diverse constituents internal to the JCC and across the community.

·        Trustworthy with sensitive, confidential information.

·        Takes initiative to begin and complete projects independently but also appreciates a highly collaborative work environment.

·        Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends (including monthly evening Board meetings) or on time sensitive issues to assist the CEO.

·        Ability to adapt quickly and willing to take on other tasks as assigned.

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

 

CEO Support

  • Provide executive support to the CEO, including managing calendar and correspondence, scheduling calls and meetings, and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
  • Ensure the CEO is prepared for upcoming meetings and appointments by assembling necessary materials in coordination with appropriate staff/departments.
  • Manage CEO’s Salesforce presence which includes, but is not limited to, tracking all CEO input into Salesforce (tasks, follow-up, meetings, notes) and managing CEO’s daily tasks in Salesforce.
  • Assist with special projects as they arise.

 

Board Support

  • Work closely with the board chair and key committee chairs to coordinate and schedule board and board committee meetings
  • Collaborate with committee chairs and senior leadership to create, prepare and distribute meeting agendas, materials, and minutes.
  • Ensure accurate and organized record-keeping of Board-related documents, resolutions, and policies.
  • Maintain an up-to-date roster of Board members, including contact information, terms, and committee assignments.
  • Serve as a resource for board and committee members as they navigate their roles and the Center and support good and welfare activities.
  • Assist with special projects.

 

Development Responsibilities

  • Help plan and support donor and VIP events, including board meetings, cultivation dinners, etc.
  • Conduct donor research to prepare senior leaders and board members for meetings.
  • Assist Development team with donor outreach 
  • Pitch in with ad hoc tasks for the development team as needed, (e.g., printing and mailing appeals and proposals).
  • Assist with special projects related to the centennial anniversary
