Are you an experienced executive assistant? 

 

We are currently in search of an Executive Assistant to join DECA Inc. This is a Full-Time, Hybrid position based in Reston, VA with an anticipated salary of $70,000.

LOCATION: Reston, VA

POSITION TITLE: Executive Assistant

SCHEDULE: Full-Time (Hybrid, 3 days/week in-office)

DURATION: Permanent role

SALARY: $70,000

 

Is This Your Dream Job? The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Director organizing and coordinating the executive calendar, handling expense reports, external relations efforts, board material and oversees special projects.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years experience providing administrative support to C-Level executives
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent Organization and Communication Skills
  • Background in Education or Associations- Preferred
  • Bachelors Degree- Preferred

 

How You Will Spend Your Day: 

  • Manage sensitive matters with a high level of confidentiality and discretion especially decisions directly impacting the operations of the organization.
  • Provide strategic management of the Executive Director's calendar with prioritization and efficiency.
  • Draft letters, memos, invoices, reports, and other documents as needed and requested.
  • Screen incoming telephone calls; take and deliver accurate messages; respond to requests by gathering and providing information and referring non-routine calls to the appropriate staff.
  • Organize internal and external business travel, including reservations, itineraries, and expenses report filings.
  • Coordinate high-level meetings, including scheduling, agendas, minutes, and tracking of follow-up assignments.
  • Support meetings of the Board of Directors and other committees including preparation of meeting materials, correspondence, catering, meeting logistics, note taking and tracking follow-up.
  • Undertake research projects, including background information for externals meetings and presentations.
  • Proof-read, review, and edit contracts as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining HR policy, process, and documents.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with DECA staff to foster a cooperative and harmonious working environment that is conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.
  • Periodic travel to conferences and meetings. 
  • Perform other related work as assigned.
