We are currently in search of Special Events Manager to join the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This is a Full-Time, Remote (must reside in MA) position with a salary of $55,000- $65,000.

LOCATION: Remote- Must Reside in Massachusetts

POSITION TITLE: Special Events Manager

SCHEDULE: Full-Time

DURATION: Permanent role

SALARY: $55,000- $65,000 

 

Is This Your Dream Job? The Special Events Manager is responsible for implementing AFSP’s fundraising events and revenue generating initiatives within the state of Massachusetts.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 2+ years experience in peer-to-peer fundraising with demonstrated success
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree

 

How You Will Spend Your Day: 

  • Plan, manage, and implement the organization’s signature fundraising events, Community Walks and Campus Walks, within the assigned Massachusetts market.
  • Implement all other approved chapter fundraising events and revenue generating events and initiatives.
  • Develop budgets for all walk and non-walk fundraising events.                                  
  • Recruit, train, and manage all walk and other fundraising event committee members and day-of event volunteers.
  • Collaborate with event-related vendors, municipalities, and venues.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate national staff on corporate, foundation, and grant fundraising events.
  • Secure sponsorships for all fundraising activities.
  • Aim for a minimum 20% increase in fundraising each year.
  • Assist the Programs Manager with planning and implementing Program events.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
