Our client, a leading firm in the employment law sector, is experiencing significant growth within their Employment Law Department. They are seeking a seasoned Associate Attorney to contribute to their dynamic team.


Job Description:

The successful candidate will bring at least 7 years of experience in Employment Law, with a strong background in employment litigation and defense. This role demands a professional who is adept at navigating complex legal frameworks, particularly in class action and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) cases.


Responsibilities:

  • Engage in active litigation and defense of employment cases, including class/PAGA actions.
  • Maintain responsibility for trial preparations and courtroom representation; trial experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Offer legal support to public entities, enhancing the firm's services in public entity defense.
  • Manage cases proactively, ensuring efficient and successful resolutions.
  • Adapt to and manage changing job duties and case needs as determined by management.


Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctor degree.
  • Must be a member of the State Bar of California in good standing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in employment litigation and defense.
  • Superior skills in research, analysis, negotiation, and both written and oral communication.
  • Experience in managing a diverse caseload and meeting tight deadlines.


Skills & Experience:

  • Proven record in employment litigation with an emphasis on defense.
  • Knowledgeable in handling class/PAGA inclusive cases.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and judgment.
  • Effective communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.


Work Environment:

  • Office setting with standard physical demands such as computer keyboarding and travel as required.
