Job Description:

The Production Supervisor oversees and guides production operations within our manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include coordinating production activities, ensuring machinery functions smoothly, and supervising staff on production lines and fabrication. This role plays a key part in providing technical and quality support to ensure all products meet required standards and customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor production department activities, ensuring efficiency and quality.
  • Inspect materials, products, and equipment for defects, promptly reporting any issues to management.
  • Coordinate with other supervisors to streamline operations and activities.
  • Implement measures to motivate employees and enhance production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Analyze production records and reports to determine requirements and evaluate current outputs.
  • Manage material, supply, equipment, and repair service requisitions.
  • Maintain production data and prepare management reports.
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels to meet production needs.
  • Uphold workplace safety standards.
  • Facilitate cross-training among workers for enhanced production flexibility.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Prior experience in production control or related fields, including supervisory roles.
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Track record of implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Microsoft Office.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Education/Certification:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • College degree or certifications preferred.
