JOB DESCRIPTION: Accounting for Income Tax Manager (Lead Tax Analyst)

Overview:

• Our client is seeking a dynamic Accounting for Income Tax Manager (Lead Tax Analyst).

Key Responsibilities:

• Compliance & Risk Management:
• Demonstrate deep understanding of compliance and risk management requirements.
• Ensure adherence to internal control policies and ongoing compliance.
• Internal Consultancy:
• Serve as an internal consultant or final authority in accounting for income taxes.
• Offer technical income tax consultation on complex financial transactions.
• Team Leadership:
• Direct and meticulously review the work of less experienced team members.
• Perform activities requiring expertise in income tax accounting and corporate income taxes.
• Project Leadership:
• Lead highly complex projects/initiatives impacting multiple lines of business.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive key risk initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Corporate Tax experience or equivalent proficiency through work experience, training, military service, or education.

Desired Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
• Over 5 years of experience in public company income tax provision (Public Accounting/SEC registrant).
• Familiarity with Longview Tax Provision or similar software.
• Extensive experience in researching complex income tax accounting issues and providing suitable solutions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience managing or leading the work of lower-level staff members.
