Primary Objective:

The Quality Engineer plays a pivotal role in analyzing quality metrics using statistical methods and data analysis to drive process improvements, minimize variation, and reduce quality costs. This position conducts internal quality audits, ensures adherence to the company's quality system, and investigates and resolves quality issues related to manufacturing and distribution processes. Collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams is essential to uphold product quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain systems and procedures to ensure compliance with Quality Standards.
  • Develop, review, and enhance Quality inspection work instructions, processes, and procedures continuously.
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits, and manage Corrective Action Requests (CAR/SCAR).
  • Lead resolution efforts for customer complaints, including containment actions, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
  • Generate reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in Design Reviews, including technical assessments and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Establish and manage a Supplier Quality system to verify incoming components meet specifications.
  • Provide material review dispositions (MRB) for non-conformances.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality.
  • Ensure calibration of quality instruments.
  • Review, prepare, and submit PPAP's.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer with expertise in Quality management.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 regulations and industry standards.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, including analysis and investigation.
  • Proficiency in FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans, and PPAP.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience in project management and leading quality-related projects.
  • Strong statistical analysis and reporting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in data analysis and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Preferred:

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and Auditor certifications.
  • Lean Six Sigma: Green or Black Belt certification.
  • Basic Mechanical/Manufacturing-Assembly Skills.

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant field.
