About The Position
Hospital employed practice looking
for a 4th physician to join the
group. Located in the Medical Office
Building of the Downtown Campus. The practices is semi-traditional as the
physicians also round on their own patients during normal business hours only.
Night and weekend admissions are handled by the hospitalist, whom the group has
a great working relationship with. This is a great opportunity for both new
graduates or experienced physicians. The current physicians have an enormous
amount of knowledge and expertise they can share with a newly trained
resident. Join three physicians and 2
midlevel providers.

The Hospital
This is a
two hospital system consisting of a 258-bed facility that provides a
comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and post-acute services and a second
74-bed campus. Between the two
full-service hospitals services include one freestanding emergency room, two sleep centers, two cardiac rehab facilities, one
outpatient physical therapy, occupational, and speech therapy facility; two
cardiopulmonary rehabilitation centers; a cardiovascular imaging
school, and numerous satellite physician practices.
The
Community
The city offers residents
and visitors a plethora of recreational activities. Hiking, kayaking, swimming,
running and cycling can be enjoyed at a number of area parks. This is a town
that offers a vibrant college athletics scene for sports enthusiasts. The arts center
keeps a busy calendar of shows and activities throughout the year as well as the many live
music venues and galleries around town. Beach excursions and mountain retreats are just a day trip away. The abundance of oak, pecan and magnolia trees help the region
retain rural flavor, while the downtown skyline is representative of a growing
industrial hub. The population is small
enough that traffic is relatively mild and the streets are rarely overcrowded,
but large enough to support trendy shops, cafes, bars and other businesses that
make urban life enjoyable. Much of the
areas vibrancy is fed by the students who attend the university. The cost of
living is generally lower than the national average. The
weather tends to be mild during autumn and winter. Snow is so rare that when it
occurs, businesses and schools close. The metro area remains warm during
the summer. Many residents are
bonded by their love of the local college athletic scene. Families will find plenty to do with a local planetarium,
observatory and 4-D theatre, a museum that offers hands-on scientific and
technological activities and award-winning zoo.
On the wooded trails near the gardens, hikers are able to find the
remains of the Saluda River factory, while the river itself is used for
canoeing and kayaking. The metro area maintains 600 acres of parkland, and
within driving distance are a number of parks, rivers, lakes and a national
park nearby.
