The Hospital:
The hospital
is a 79 bed, community hospital which has served the residents of east central
Kentucky since 1917. The new 131,000
square foot campus opened in 2012 and has over 75 physicians, 487 employees, 75
volunteers and is fully accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC). It features state-of-the-art technology
including new and expanded services including Diagnostic Services, larger
capacity Emergency Services, home-like Labor and Delivery Suites, all private
patient rooms, and a skilled nursing facility (Transitional Care Unit or TCU).
The campus also includes a 45,000 square foot Medical Plaza which houses clinics
for primary, specialty and urgent care clinics, Diagnostic Center for Women,
Center for Rehabilitation, Specialty Clinic and Anticoagulation Clinic.
In 2017, the hospital
completed a 45,000 square foot expansion of the MOB. The new three- story building provides
services such as cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation,
The Community:
Located in Kentucky’s legendary Bluegrass Region, among the rolling
hills and picturesque horse farms. The
county has a has a population of 35,000.
The community provides amenities for the entire family to enjoy from
striking architecture of the downtown district to the beautiful scenery
surrounding this community. Numerous
festivals and fairs occur annually and close by is a state park and a national
forest with a 54-acre lake providing enough outdoor recreational opportunities
for any outdoors enthusiast. Lexington
is located 30 minutes away from the hospital and 40 minutes from the
clinic.
