Job Position:                 Tutor

Schedule:                      4 days a week, Monday to Friday, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Adjust hours as needed based on availability.

Saturday sessions (4 hours) are also possible if weekdays cannot be secured.

 Compensation:           $70 to $100/hour, depending on the tutor's qualifications and expertise.

Summary:

A family in Greenwich is seeking an experienced and dedicated Professional Tutor to support their children's (ages 11 and 12) academic growth. The children’s educational needs have evolved, and they are looking for someone who can provide structured tutoring in math/science and the arts (including reading, writing, history, and social studies).


Responsibilities:

Academic Support:

·       Design and implement personalized tutoring sessions tailored to each child's learning style and needs.

·       Cover subjects such as mathematics, science, literature, and social studies.

·       Foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning.

Structured Learning:

·       Develop a clear curriculum or study plan aligned with school requirements.

·       Set academic goals and track progress.

·       Reinforce foundational concepts and build advanced skills.

Individualized Attention:

·       Provide one-on-one instruction to address specific challenges or gaps.

·       Encourage active participation and engagement.

·       Boost confidence and motivation.

Homework Assistance:

·       Assist with homework assignments, projects, and test preparation.

·       Clarify concepts and ensure comprehension.

·       Teach effective study techniques.

Holistic Approach:

·       Integrate arts and humanities into the learning process.

·       Encourage creativity, critical analysis, and a well rounded education.

·       Explore literature, history, and cultural topics.

 

Qualifications:


·       Educational Background: A degree in education, a relevant subject, or equivalent experience.

·       Teaching Experience: Proven success in tutoring or teaching.

·       Subject Expertise: Strong knowledge in math, science, and the arts.

·       Patience and Adaptability: Ability to work with children of varying abilities and learning styles.
