Job Title: Live-out Housekeeper

Location: New York, NY (Upper East Side)

Days: Monday – Friday, 9:30AM - 6:30PM with flexibility

Non-Except Salary: 85-95K with healthcare.

Vacation: Three weeks paid vacation, plus nine holidays

Staff: One other Housekeeper

A distinguished couple (no kids, no pets), both working full time, residing in an elegant and expansive three floor, recently renovated 10,000 sq. ft. home decorated with museum quality art and design collections is in search of a dedicated and meticulous domestic professional. This full-time role requires working in harmony with the existing housekeeper.

Each housekeeper has clearly defined and independent responsibilities, along with some overlapping or shared duties, including vacation coverage for each other.

The candidate will replace an exceptional housekeeper who has been in the role for over 25 years and is now retiring.

Expectations for quality service and proactive engagement are high. Owners and staff embrace an appreciative, warm, and friendly aesthetic while maintaining discretion and sophistication in daily interactions. It is important that the new team member brings shared values of commitment, care, and attention to detail, taking pride in all aspects of the role.

Key Requirements:

· Experience: Demonstrable success for a consistent length of time, at least 7 years, with experience as a housekeeper in ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) homes, including experience and sophistication in caring for fine artwork, furniture, fabrics, and surfaces.

· Attributes: The ideal candidate should be able to anticipate needs, maintain a positive disposition, and enjoy working harmoniously with others. Flexibility, initiative, professionalism, and high trustworthiness are essential.

· Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit, able to use step ladders, and comfortably walk up stairs.

Primary Responsibilities:

· This candidate will be responsible for working together with the other housekeeper to ensure that the home is generally cleaned every day, along with biweekly deep cleaning of every room

· Responsible for laundry and ironing

· Care of flowers and plants

· Shopping for groceries

· Daily opening procedures and walk-through house checks

· Vacuuming, dry/wet mopping, and floor care

· Dusting all surfaces, furniture, corners, trim

· Regular dusting of clothing closets

· Disinfecting and cleaning bathrooms

· Clean kitchen, unload dishwashers, etc., as the kitchen is used most evenings

· Clean indoor sunroom, and perform light periodic upkeep of terraces upon request

· Take special care to carefully and appropriately maintain and protect fine finishes and furnishings; use of correct products & methods.

· Supervise vendors and contractors to ensure security and cleanliness.

· Shop for household supplies as needed

Requirements:

· Proven experience in a high-end living environment with art and antiques

· Excellent, successful prior work history with the same family. Seven years plus is ideal.
