Schedule:                   Live-out, Full-time,

                                   9 am – 6 pm Thursday and Sunday off

Salary:                        $80,000 - $85,000/yr. plus Health Insurance

Overview:

A family in Fairfield County is hiring an organized, tech-savvy Caretaker to maintain their home and property. This hands-on role involves overseeing property upkeep, managing vendors, and ensuring smooth operation. The ideal candidate troubleshoots equipment, handles severe weather changes, and maintains outdoor areas. Schedule flexibility is essential.

Job Requirements

Property Upkeep:

·      Maintain exterior cleanliness and garage organization.

·      Clean windows, driveway, gates, and garage doors.

·      Supervise plant care and outdoor spaces.

·      Perform routine home maintenance.

·      Prepare for severe weather by implementing preventive maintenance protocols.

·      Troubleshoot issues and ensure safety compliance.

Vendor and Equipment Management:

·      Manage vendor schedules and emergency repairs.

·      Oversee security system, smart home, generator, irrigation, HVAC, and other equipment.

·      Maintain an updated list of routines, appliances, and mechanical equipment.

·      Maintain records, proposals, and invoices on the computer.

Driving / Vehicle Upkeep:

·      Drive principals as needed, run errands, and keep cars in working order.

Candidate Qualities

·       Professional, capable, self-confident, intuitive

·       Clean appearance, organized and efficient

·       Good communicator

·       Generally, knows what to do, requires minimal direction, and is open to feedback

·       Can adjust to and accommodate changing circumstances

Requirements

·       5+ years’ experience 

·       Excellent, stable work history and references

·       Driver’s license

·       Vaccinated

·       Non-Smoker, No perfume

·       Good English fluency - Spanish / Portuguese speaking a plus
