Position:                         Live-in Housekeeper

Location:                        Washington, CT

Schedule:                        Full-time, 40 hours per week

Salary:                            $85 – 90K based on experience

Overview:

Active family is looking for a Live-in Housekeeper to help maintain their Washington, CT home. The candidate must be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to take on a variety of responsibilities.  Needs to be a self-starter, who can help with cleaning, laundry, running miscellaneous errands, and overall home organization. Candidates need to be willing to travel with the family to their summer home in Maine (Mid-June through August).

Responsibilities:

·      Housekeeping:  Responsible for full charge housekeeping, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and proficiency in caring for special surfaces (antiques, crystal, china, silver, brass, stone, marble, fabric/upholstery, artwork, etc.) 

·      Laundry: General laundry and ironing, including washing, folding and putting away clothes, changing bed linens, replacing bathroom towels, etc.

·      Run miscellaneous errands as needed; car will be provided

·      Overall home organization, including preparing home for periodic arrival of guests

·      Dog care as needed for two large but friendly mixed breed dogs (feeding, letting them outside, occasional walks)

·      Help with simple meal preparation would be a plus

·      Professional, good listener, able to follow directions and proactive

·      Meticulous attention to detail

·      Proficient in English and able to communicate easily (including via text)

·      Comfortable with dogs

·      Non-smoker
