Position:                  Housekeeper

Schedule:                  Full time, Monday-Friday 9 AM – 6 PM

                                   Some weekends 10 AM – 6 PM when needed in rotation.

Salary:                       $40 – $45/ hour + OT/ Health Insurance and 401k

Location:                   West Village, NYC

Overview:

A young family, who works from home, is in search of an experienced and hardworking Housekeeper to join their team of housekeepers in their West Village residence. The household has a quiet and informal atmosphere. The candidate is expected to adapt to the existing cleaning systems and schedule, with a strong emphasis on providing high-quality service efficiently. Previous experience in upscale homes is required, and the candidate should possess comprehensive cleaning and maintenance skills. The Housekeeper will collaborate closely with an Executive Housekeeper and another team member.

The family desires an individual who can take initiative, follow directions, and maintain discretion while respecting their privacy. Flexibility and teamwork are essential qualities. The role requires maintaining 5-star cleanliness standards, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as needed. Attention to detail, prioritization, time management, flexibility, and reliability are crucial. Additionally, the Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning two guest apartments within the same location.

 Candidate Qualities:

·      Professional, capable, self-confident, intuitive, and "low-key" personality type

·      Clean appearance organized and efficient.

·      Works well with the executive Housekeeper and two other housekeepers.

·      Follows direction, is open to feedback.

·      Can adjust to and accommodate changing circumstances with 5-star service.

·      Good communication skills, not chatty.

·      Knowledge of cleaning products and their use on high-end furniture and various surfaces

·      Ironing, stain removal, and pressing.

·      Efficient planner and organizational skills for closets, cabinets, and other storage spaces

Requirements

·      3 plus years of experience 

·      Excellent, stable work history and references

·      Driver’s License (a plus)

·      Non-smoker

·      Good English fluency
