Position:            Full-time Housekeeper

Schedule:          Tuesday – Saturday during Summer months and Monday – Friday during rest of year with flexibility to help on occasional weekend day as needed (hours TBD)

Location:           New Canaan, CT

Salary:                $85 – 95K

Overview:

Active family of six is looking for a diligent Full-time Housekeeper to help maintain their home in New Canaan, CT. The candidate must be proactive, detail oriented, and eager to take on a variety of responsibilities. Needs to be a self-starter with excellent systematic cleaning and laundry experience, and ability to help run miscellaneous errands as needed.

Responsibilities:

·      Housekeeping / Cleaning:  Responsible for deep cleaning of the home, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting, as appropriate, all floors and household surfaces. Particular attention to kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. Help with cleaning and care of outdoor furniture.

·      Laundry:  Manage family’s laundry, including washing, ironing, folding and putting away clothes; changing sheets on bed; replacing towels, etc.

·      Errands:  Run miscellaneous errands for family as needed.

·      Provide service and support to Chef when family entertains, including serving meals

Requirements:

·      Previous experience in an estate or luxury hotel to create a seamless sophisticated level of service

·      Honest, discreet and trustworthy

·      Professional, good listener, able to follow directions

·      Proactive, detail oriented and “can do” attitude

·      Proficient with English language – spoken, reading and writing

·      Must drive and have own car
