Schedule: Live-out, Full-time, 

11 am – 8 pm Monday and Sunday off

Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 /yr. plus Health Insurance 

Location: Fairfield County, CT

Overview:

A wonderful family is seeking an experienced Cook for their home. The candidate must be experienced working in a fine home and be able to demonstrate skills in all aspects of cooking. Strong laundry and ironing skills are needed to help with these tasks during any downtime. The culture of the home is semi-formal but the expectations for quality service and efficiency are high. A positive, pleasant, willing-to-please type of personality would do well here. Some travel is possible. Must speak some Spanish.

Job Requirements

Cook/Chef:

• Collaborate with the Principal to create diverse menus.

• Prepare high-quality meals, accommodating dietary preferences.

• Test new recipes and techniques.

• Maintain inventory and keep a clean kitchen.

• Small events: coordinate logistics with other staff members.

Other Duties if slow:

• Pitch in with light laundry and pet care 

Candidate Qualities

• Professional, capable, self-confident, intuitive

• Clean appearance, organized and efficient

• Good communicator

• Generally, knows what to do, requires minimal direction, and is open to feedback

• Can adjust to and accommodate changing circumstances

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience  

• Excellent, stable work history and references

• Driver’s license 

• Vaccinated

• Non-smoker, No perfume.

• Good English fluency. The ability to speak some Spanish (or Portuguese) is needed.
