Position:                       Live-out Family Assistant

Schedule:                     Mon. – Thurs. (1:30 – 7pm) and Fri. (1:30 – 6:30pm) with flexibility to work additional hours as needed. Two-week trial period is required before formal offer is extended.

Location:                      Greenwich, CT

Salary/Benefits:         $30-35/hour based on relevant experience; designated paid holidays off and 10 days paid vacation to be taken when family is away

Overview:

Active family of four is seeking a bright, seasoned, and energetic live-out Family Assistant to assist with their two children (ages 12 & 9). The candidate will be responsible for, without limitation, driving the children home from school, to and from various activities, engaging in activities with the younger child, general organization of playrooms and toys, and cooking for the children.

This role is perfect for an individual with a high level of emotional intelligence: warm, capable, happy, intuitive, knows when to ‘step in’ and ‘step out’ and anticipate needs. Seeking someone adaptable, flexible, and proactive with a positive "can-do" attitude.

Duties:

·      Care for the children, keeping them healthy, safe, and nurturing their development

·      Safely and responsibly drive children daily (school pickup, activities, doctor’s appointments, play dates, etc.); Grocery shopping and miscellaneous child-related errands; Car will be provided.

·      Ensure children remain on track to arrive at activities on time and prepared

·      Cooking for the children; variety of healthy recipes and leave kitchen tidy afterwards

·      Organize children’s rooms, play areas and belongings/accessories

·      Wrap presents

·      Engage children during their free time (board games, outdoor games, etc.)

·      Energetic and a self-starter

·      Very good communicator, both written and verbal

·      Flexible, ability to adjust to and accommodate changing circumstances

Requirements:

·      5+ years’ experience caring for multiple children

·      Excellent, stable work history and references

·      Driver’s license and excellent driving record; experience driving on highways and busy roads

·      Unquestioned integrity and honesty

·      Non-smoker

·      Fully vaccinated and boosted
