Job Description: Live-Out Housekeeper

Schedule: Full-Time, 5 days/week (M-F, 9 AM-5 PM)

Location: New York City

Overview

A client is seeking an experienced Housekeeper to assist in cleaning his 4,200 sq ft Manhattan apartment. Candidates must be experienced working in fine homes and be able to demonstrate skills in all aspects of common household cleaning. The principal prefers someone who is professional, but friendly, non-obtrusive, highly trustworthy.  

Duties

• Full-service housekeeping, including but not limited to:

- Vacuuming, dry/wet mopping, and floor care

- Dusting all surfaces, furniture, knick-knacks, blinds, window ledges, trim

- Hand-wiping wood furniture

- Disinfecting and cleaning bathrooms and vanities

• General laundry

- Principal’s laundry

- Towels and bed linens

• Basic clothing care (pressing, steaming)

• Errands

Key Success Factors

• Prefer someone who is kind, friendly, and honest

• Professional, but not formal

• Must be able to read and write English, prepare shopping lists, and take phone messages

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary of $35 - 40/hour, based on experience

• Stipend towards Health Insurance
