The Opportunity 

Professional level responsibilities for managing highly complex lending areas including, but not limited to, budgeting, forecasting and analyzing financial results, line of business financial analysis, liquidity management, monitoring and analysis, and providing recommendations to executive management for relevant business strategies and financial information. Business case management and liaison between the business and finance teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the FP&A team on the development, reporting and delivery of accurate, concise, and timely budgets and forecasts for each line of business of the Company 
  • Analysis of budget and forecasts variances and reporting of necessary changes to ensure reasonableness of forecasts on an on-going basis
  • Assist in the strategic planning and forecasting process 
  • Assess and implement ongoing improvements to the budget and forecasting process
  • Manage and validate budgeting and forecasting model including oversight of software utilized 
  • You will be involved in generating and delivering presentations to leadership and the Board of Directors
  • Perform analysis of funding sources and uses as well as capital planning
  • Work with the Corporate Development, Capital Markets and Treasury teams in building out and maintaining relevant financial models and evaluating potential transactions
  • Work cross functionally between the product and finance teams to ensure all finance requirements are taken into account for new business initiatives
  • Business case preparation, review and analysis
  • Assist in ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests from leadership 

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Degree: Required - Accounting or Finance. MS or MBA is a plus
  • At least 5+ years of financial planning experience in banking/financial services industry 
  • Very strong expertise in modeling and advanced skills in MS Excel 
  • Experience in Anaplan and Tableau is a plus
  • Knowledge of database and ability to obtain information using SQL queries a plus
  • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent initiative, analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask, manage time and function in a fast-paced environment and meet delivery timelines
  • Ability to develop into a leadership role on a growing team

Bonus Points

  • Skills in VBA, R, or Python.
  • Prior experience in consumer lending.
