position of Accounts Payable & Property Staff Accountant. While the following information should be

Job Summary: The A/P & Property Staff Accountant will be responsible for accounts payable, property

accounting, and financial reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities

 Oversee and manage all aspects of Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely payments to

vendors

 Assist Property Management staff with review and preparation of monthly tenant billing

statements, late fee reports, tenant account analysis, and receivable reconciliation.

 Work with Yardi team to reconcile tenant records between A/R reports, security deposit reports,

tenant ledgers, lease documents, and general ledger.

 Review monthly general ledger for accuracy of invoice coding and verify account balances and

detailed activity.

 Prepare variance reports for Property Manager review and review monthly property level

management reports for accuracy

 Oversee all property and tenant lease input for completion and accuracy

 Assist corporate accounting department with preparation of monthly closing process and

preparation of financial reporting.

 Maintain full understanding of property specific processes and pertinent information for each

property

 Improve and improve accounting processes and systems

 Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

 3+ years’ experience in real estate accounting required

 Proficient in Excel

 Proven experience with Yardi Voyager and PayScan software required

 Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

 Ability to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping deadlines

 Strong verbal and written communication skills
