What You'll Do 70% – Daily Accounting Functions Journal entriesBank reconciliationsGeneral ledger account reconciliationsTimely payment of invoices, mortgages, insurance, real estate taxes, etc.Depreciation and amortization schedulesMaintain partner capital sheets for equity trackingAnalyze cash flow and expenses for distribution calculations 25% – Monthly Tasks Compile monthly and quarterly financial statements for a portfolio of propertiesProvide supporting documentation for audit and tax return preparation 5% – Everything else Assist property managers with year-end budgeting effortsRe-forecasting of financial results as needed Who You Are Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsEnergetic, resourceful, and hands-on individual with a strong service orientationAttention to detail and great organizational skillsAbility to think critically, solve problems, and draw connections within the organizationAbility to work under pressureAbility to work collaboratively as a team and independentlySensitive to confidential information and matters

What Experience/Skills You'll Need Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related fieldCPA/CMA or desire to obtain is a plus, but not required2-3 years of accounting experience is ideal. Commercial real estate account is a plusExcellent analytical skillsProficient with Microsoft and google applicationsKnowledge of Yardi software also a plus We are an equal opportunity employer.
