Emerald Resource Group is currently assisting a top employer recruit for a Senior Java Developer in Greater Cleveland, OH to join their large, stable, and local team.

As the Senior JavaScript Application Developer, you will implement interfaces and own the behaviors along the integration of those interfaces with server-side services. In addition, you will conduct research into new and innovative technologies, while interacting with management and peers.



MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Deployment activities:

  • Perform analysis of business models, logical specifications, and/or customer requirements to design and build Internet solutions utilizing multiple technologies. 
  • Schedule and lead brainstorming activities surrounding development functionality.
  • Perform complex programming assignments.
  • Communicate effectively by using natural language and by writing clear and concise code.
  • Help foster development of teams cross-functional and collaborative capabilities.


Additional functions:

  • Mentor and coach developers and/or Professional Apprentices.
  • Train and knowledge share with developers.
  • Project and task management, and reporting, as necessary.
  • Make presentations to management, clients, and peer groups, as requested.
  • Schedule and lead project and communication meetings with clients.
  • Analyze performance of websites and take action to correct deficiencies.
  • Participate in hiring activities.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience. 
  • IT experience.
  • Experience working with CSS, HTML and Javascript.
  • Experience with CSS 3 and/or HTML5.
  • Experience with responsive Web Development.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility (Section 508 and WAI) standards.
  • Experience using HTML/CSS/JS debugging tools (Firebug, Chrome Developer).
  • Demonstrated experience with Photoshop.
  • Experience in Source Code Control, preferably Git.
  • Experience working with UNIX.
  • Experience with Vue.js, Node.js or other Javascript framework.
  • Experience with AJAX to interact with RESTful services.
  • Experience working as part of an enterprise web team, interfacing with back-end developers, designers, web engineers, and external agencies or partners.

  • Ability to effectively move forward on tasks even with ambiguous or changing requirements.
