Job Title: Lab Technician


Position Overview:

The Lab Technician plays a vital role in maintaining quality control processes, testing products, and recording and analyzing results to ensure that products meet stringent quality specifications. This position is responsible for testing production batches, interpreting results, and making adjustments to ensure the product exceeds customer requirements for quality. The Lab Technician will also collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with ISO standards and safety protocols.


Responsibilities:

1. Quality Control Testing: Conduct tests on production batches according to specified testing methods, ensuring that all results meet quality specifications before allowing products to proceed to the next production phase.

2. Data Management: Enter all batch data accurately into the electronic batch records system, maintaining a comprehensive and organized database of test results.

3. Documentation: Generate necessary paperwork as per customer specifications and gather and send customer samples as required.

4. Equipment Utilization: Utilize appropriate computer systems and laboratory equipment to conduct effective testing of products, maintaining equipment in good working condition.

5. Non-Conforming Material: Determine the disposition of non-compliant finished goods, placing non-conforming material on hold as needed and taking appropriate corrective actions.

6. Compliance and Safety: Support ISO Management Systems and Safety Systems, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

7. Supply Management: Maintain an inventory of lab supplies, ensuring adequate availability for testing processes.

8. Issue Identification: Identify and communicate product issues to relevant departments, contributing to the resolution of quality-related concerns.

9. SOP Development: Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures for the Quality Department to meet ISO requirements, ensuring consistency and compliance.

10. Training: Assist in the training of other lab technicians as needed, sharing knowledge and best practices.


Qualifications:


Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a quality control laboratory.
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing or distribution facility.
  • Possess an Associate Degree or higher in Chemistry or a related field.
