Job Description: Senior EPM/OneStream Developer/Manager

Location: Cleveland, OH (Hybrid Schedule)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior EPM/OneStream Developer/Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing our corporate performance management (CPM) system. As a liaison between stakeholders, you will facilitate query tuning, train the BI toolset, and provide recommendations that align with our organization's goals. Your expertise in EPM Hyperion Planning/Essbase or OneStream Applications, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, will play a crucial role in optimizing our financial processes and applications.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategy & Planning:

  • Evaluate logical views, data hierarchies, and reporting structures.
  • Provide alternatives and recommendations based on best practices and application functionality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input and approval for requirements and designs.
  • Understand the business processes and apply your knowledge to address challenges effectively.
  • Develop functional specifications and work closely with technical resources to complete object development and testing.
  • Assist in annual budget and forecast processes.


Acquisition & Deployment:

  • Utilize your EPM Suite knowledge to enhance Planning, application security, and interface tools deployment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain new cubes and process flows.


Operational Management:

  • Design and develop OneStream and reporting solutions.
  • Leverage your EPM or OneStream experience to suggest process improvements.
  • Lead user sessions for requirements and testing.
  • Independently resolve user problems and issues.
  • Create and maintain system documentation.
  • Collaborate with existing systems to track and manage requests and issues.
  • Provide business reports to management and clients.
  • Assist in requirement gathering and create system and user documentation.


Incidental Functions:

  • Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the work by participating in various projects.
  • Attend management meetings on behalf of the team.
  • Provide training and documentation for supported applications.
  • Participate in hiring activities as needed.


Qualifications:


Formal Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study, or equivalent experience.


Knowledge & Experience:

  • 5+ years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years of Oracle Experience.
  • 3+ years of EPM Hyperion Planning/Essbase or OneStream Applications development experience (On-prem or in the Cloud).
  • 3+ years of HFM or FCCS Applications development experience.
  • Expertise with Cloud Enterprise applications preferred.
  • Strong experience in designing and delivering EPM Planning/Essbase or OneStream solutions.
  • Proficient in building and maintaining calc scripts, data loads, batch jobs, automation, and MaxL scripting.
  • Experience with Groovy scripting preferred.
  • Experience with VB .NET preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of optimizing business rules and calc scripts.
  • Understanding of dependencies and interrelationships within Hyperion Planning components.
  • ASO and BSO Essbase application development/configuration and support, including metadata design and complex calculation/rule development.
  • Knowledge of FDMEE or ODI for data integration.
  • Proficiency in SmartView, OneStream XF, or Financial Reporting Studio.
  • Extensive financial process and functional knowledge preferred.
