Critical Success Factors

 The Chief Advisory Operations Officer / COO will be responsible for and evaluated regarding their success in the following key areas:

  • Demonstrates growth mindset, intellectual curiosity and a bias towards impactful action, by partnering with the National Advisory Leader and leadership to execute on the strategic growth plan of our clients advisory
  • Serves as thought partner to National Advisory leader with respect to driving operational efficiencies across Advisory Services.
  • Implements strategic initiatives to enhance cross-selling between the various Advisory services.
  • Demonstrates deep working understanding of various advisory services and develops clear KPIs to drive increased efficiency and ensures operational reporting is systematic, consistent, and scalable.
  • Builds strong relationships with key constituencies, including Advisory practice leaders while also demonstrating leadership to hold each
  • Advisory service accountable and incentivized to drive efficiency.
  • Services and operational lead on various technology initiatives
  • Essential Functions and Primary Duties of Chief Advisory Operations
  • Develop and execute the operational strategy for our advisory practice, aligning it with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of operational professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify operational improvement opportunities and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Drive innovation initiatives, leveraging emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance our service offerings and deliver cutting- edge solutions to clients.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to define and implement the organization's offshoring strategy, ensuring optimal utilization of a global workforce.
  • Establish robust metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive accountability.
  • Foster strong client relationships, partnering with them to understand their operational challenges and develop customized solutions that deliver value.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging practices related to operational improvements, innovation, and offshoring.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, sales, marketing, and finance, to align operational goals with overall business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies throughout all operational processes.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role, preferably within a professional services or consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements, innovation initiatives, and implementing offshoring strategies with a global workforce.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes, including process optimization, quality management, and project management methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of translating strategic goals into actionable operational plans.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of relevant technologies, digital transformation, and data analytics is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in related field
  • 8 years of experience in related field
  • 6 years supervisory experience
  • Certification preferred
  • Ability to manage deadlines
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments and prioritize accurately
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally (and externally as applicable)
  • Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills
  • Must be able to travel based on department needs
